Quad Vision Update: Coronavirus (COVID-19), 16th March 2020

Quad Vision want to keep you informed about our plans and response to the evolving Coronavirus/Covid-19 situation. We already have in place a robust plan to support our customers retaining the highest level of care, resiliency, and availability. We are, already set up to be able to respond quickly and provide a safe and uninterrupted service to our customers. Business Continuity means exactly that. No matter what the next few weeks bring, we’ll be here committed to supporting our customers.

We regularly review all business operations from supply chain, IT to personnel and ensure robust contingency measures are in place to avoid any interruption to service. This include evaluating the potential risk and impact to our people.

Workforce & Business as Usual

We already operate a remote diagnostic set up to manage digital signage and display and our team are available on the phone by calling 03300 419019

Operating in a digital world means that we already have the ability to work from home as part of normal business operations. We have internal IT infrastructure that allows our team to be connected to each other and to our clients no matter where they happen to be working from.

Health & Safety for our Employees and Site Visits

We have implemented several measures to ensure the health and safety of our team, including supporting remote work for employees,  limiting non-essential travel, reducing internal events and gatherings, and improving health and hygiene in our office by maintaining sanitation supplies, regular deep cleaning and encouraging an “if in doubt, stay home” mindset.

We are also constantly monitoring advice from Public Health England, the NHS and the UK government and will act accordingly.

When attending a site for an installation we will keep a safe distance have our own antibacterial protection and ensure a safe distance is kept whilst we conduct our installations.

Current Status

As the situation evolves, we are keeping updated and reviewing our working practices daily and will provide a further update should there be any significant change to our operations. However, we do not expect any risk of service interruption at this stage. We are confident that we will be able to deliver our services without disruption or reduced support capability.

Quad Vision Confirms Partnership with Wallboard Display

Quad Vision are delighted to announce a new partnership with digital signage solution provider Wallboard Display.

Retail EXPO 2019

On Wednesday this week, Sanjay & Debbie visited the Retail EXPO show at Olympia in London, a chance to witness first hand the latest technology and digital signage available in the UK.  The show had three distinct zone; Retail Technology, Design & Digital Signage.  Principally on this visit, we were interested in Technology and Digital Signage.

Digital Signage

Kiosk type digital signage is increasing in its popularity. It’s relatively straightforward to install, easy to manage and a range of prices for most budgets. Samsung showcased a wide range of LCD & LED products, including an interactive micro LED screen. Their micro LED video wall made an impressive entrance to their stand. High brightness screens featured, idea for shop windows where light can interfere with images. Philips had an eye catching display, showing the versatility of LCD screens and how with some imagination a stunning and attention grabbing center piece can be achieved.

Technology

It was clear from what we saw at the show that retailers are just beginning to understand the power of customer analytics. We saw technology now available that can provide:

  • Heat mapping – check where your visitor footfall is most heavy and where it’s not, allowing multiple decisions to be made about either product placement or environmental effects
  • Gender, age, emotion and engagement mapping – analyse and understand the profile of your visitors through facial recognition systems, allowing informed strategic decisions to be made about the brand offering
  • Measure shopper patterns and manage queues through use of existing CCTV systems. Count footfall, recognise returning customers, and known offenders, measure dwell times, promotional area statistics with ROI and create customer journey maps

Combine this type of technology with digital signage and you have a powerful tool that can seriously up the game of any retailer or footfall led organisation out there. Imagine being able to measure the effectiveness of your digital signage and your customer behaviour in real time. Rather than just measuring the success of a campaign through sales, companies can now track analytics and data pertaining to who and how an individual behaves and reacts to the digital signage campaign, allowing adjustments to campaigns to really hone in on success.

ISE2019 Show Review

Last week saw the largest AV and systems integration show take place at the RAI Amsterdam. Integrated Systems Europe 2019 is an annual event that showcases the latest technology from world leading manufacturers and provided Quad Vision’s MD Sanjay Saini with an ideal opportunity to immerse himself into a world of innovative industry technology.

With a focus on investigating ‘New Tech’ Sanjay embarked upon an eye opening and in some cases, jaw dropping journey of ISE. Here are some of his highlights.


“My trip to ISE2019 could not have come at a better time for me and for Quad Vision. The current growth plans for the business very much focus on harnessing some of the new technology that’s out there making it easily accessible to our customer base and providing them with the technical know-how and support that we’re admired and respected for. A show like ISE is the perfect opportunity to take in what the world’s largest manufacturers have to offer and to forge new relationships with smaller innovators of AV technology.”


“One of the most outstanding products came from HYPERVSN, a company who I’ve been following for some time now. I was excited to see a large range of their products ‘in real life’ and to continue our conversation with them. HYPERVSN specialise in 3D holographic displays that appear to be floating in mid-air by use of a neat LED fan system.”

“The trip also provides a great chance to catch up with suppliers and our wider business network, so good to see the guys from Iiyama, Samsung, LG, Allsee, Intuiface, Wallboard and BrightSign while I was there.”

Saipem 7000 welcomes Quad Vision MD on board!

Saipem are a global company in the oil, gas and coal industry. They are also a valued Quad Vision customer.

Recently Quad Vision’s MD Sanjay Saini, was invited over to Rotterdam in The Netherlands, to catch up with the Saipem Survey & Positioning Team, on board the Saipem 7000 semisubmersible crane vessel; a spectacular and state of the art ship which has the capacity to handle the entire work scope of offshore construction developments worldwide, encompassing pipelaying in water depths greater than 2,000 metres and heavy lift operations up to 14,000 tonnes!

Quad Vision has recently supplied a bespoke framing system to Saipem onboard the vessel and Sanjay was able to step on board to see (and hear) just how much the new survey room frame system has improved not just the look and feel of the area but the operational capability and functionality. In support of its underwater works, the Saipem 7000 operates two state of the art Innovator type of working rov’s; an essential part of the vessel’s equipment that complement and integrate surface and subsea operations.

A further number of advanced technical projects are being investigated. Quad Vision provide advanced and often complex control room solutions to companies in a variety of sectors such as energy, security, surveillance and high value asset management. Managing complex AV solutions requires system integration and programming knowledge that is only possible through extensive and qualified experience in the field.
