Brief
With 20 stores internationally including most UK airports, Rolling Luggage are experts in the sale of well known brands of luggage and bags. This project involved their refurbishment of multiple retail sites across Heathrow Airport both air and land side including the installation of brand new state of the art, professional digital signage to enhance the overall shopper’s experience. Samsonite’s Rolling Luggage brand required a digital media content management system with minimum input from them, in addition to the supply pre-configuration and remote testing of hardware.
The Solution
Quad Vision supplied twelve 55” Samsung customer facing digital display screens, over a 3 month period at several units on the Heathrow multi terminal site. The screens were a mix of portrait and landscape modes.
Having previously worked with Samsonite on projects at Selfridges, Brent Cross and Bicester Shopping Centre, Quad Vision was best placed to win this business having built up an excellent working relationship with the Samsonite team. Quad Vision provided full consultation and advice on the project, specifying the optimal equipment for each site and advising on the best way to display content.
The Samsung screens are a professional and commercial solution, essential for the high usage 24/7 airport operation and carry a three year warranty. Push mounts are installed to enable straightforward servicing and enhance the cooling required to keep the equipment in top condition. The screens are built robustly with metal frames again perfect for this type of high footfall environment.
Quad Vision provide ongoing management of the digital media content for Rolling Luggage, scheduling, updating and monitoring content remotely via the internet to all sites, through the use of Brightsign players, chosen because of their reliability, affordability and ease of use.
