Brief
Ultra Electronics is a world-leading group of businesses operating in the Defence & Aerospace, Security & Cyber, Transport and Energy markets. The Group manages a broad portfolio of innovative capabilities focused on customer need. In this instance, Ultra commissioned Quad Vision to provide a video wall solution for an off shore gas extraction platform which after testing, will eventually operate in the Middle East.
The Solution
The solution encompassed a 4 x 2 high resolution, 4K, video wall supported by Quad Vision’s own programmable controller and API software.
The equipment will be installed on a gas extraction platform located in the Middle East and will support Ultra’s Offshore Protection System Operations out there.
The screens will display critical monitoring information, including radar and CCTV, maintaining the safety and security of both the vessel and its personnel.
The 75” Large Format Display (LFD) screen was required as a back up to the main 4 x 2 video wall and has the capability to provide a further independent source of information when required.
Sanjay Saini MD at Quad Vision consulted on the project from the outset with the team at Ultra Electronics. Quad Vision delivered a bespoke, advanced and technical video wall solution, which will eventually become an invaluable part of Ultra’s Protection System for this particular gas extraction platform.
